2 gang members arrested in SC mom’s shooting death

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Columbia police have arrested two men they say are gang members in connection with a drive-by shooting that killed a Columbia mother.

Richland County authorities told local media outlets Thursday that 21-year-old Charlie Kennedy III and 20-year-old Jashawn Livingston had been arrested and both charged with murder.

Coroner’s officials say 32-year-old Astrid D. Haynes of Columbia died in October after she was shot in the abdomen.

At the time, police said Hayes was shot shortly after midnight as she stood with a large group of people. Timmons said a car drove by and several shots were fired from the vehicle.
