SC skating rink opens in Columbia on Thanksgiving

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Those near South Carolina’s capital who overindulge at the Thanksgiving table get a chance to work off some of those pumpkin pie calories by ice skating.

Columbia’s outdoor ice rink opens Thursday evening and on Friday.

The opening day price will be $8. Adults normally are $10 and children 12 and under are $8. The rink is at Main and Hampton Streets.

Officials say the rink will be open daily until Jan. 19th. It will close Christmas Day but will be open until 12 a.m. New Year’s Eve.
