Holiday Spirit at Governor’s Mansion

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — Up close and personal visits with good ole Saint Nick – gingerbread houses covered in layers of sugar and custom made ornaments hung with care….just a few of the things that brought hundreds out to the Governor’s mansion. “We enjoy the environment. we like to see santa and hear the music and the lights it’s just a tradition that we have.” An annual stop the gurtler family and their newest addition are not enjoying alone. The gate normally under close lock and key was opened giving throngs of people who stood in a line wrapping around the mansion. ” my heart is so full. i’m so excited about being here. i’m from sumter and i’m just excited to celebrate this with my family. we are all here for the same reason. The First Family happy to greet each and every person who walked through the door with a hand shake – hug and picture to remember the occasion. A moment snapped in time – that for some is worth more than ” That’s all that really matters is family. it doesn’t matter what type of day you had at work, what you have to look forward to this week or whether your struggling to get by or have problems. coming out here you can forget about all of that and just focus on being with your family.”
