River Bluff Coach, Player Selected for All-American Bowl

LEXINGTON, S.C. — River Bluff High Assistant Varsity Football Coach Mike Armstrong and Senior Football Player Whitt Warner are headed to the 2015 Max Emfinger All-American Bowl Classic January 3, 2015, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Armstrong will serve as the East team‘s offensive line coach. He has 26 years of coaching experience and is a RBHS assistant athletic director and head strength and conditioning coach. Warner, an offensive lineman for the Gators, and other players from Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee make up the East team‘s roster. The West team‘s roster consists of players from California, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. “We are very proud of Whitt and Coach Armstrong! They both did an outstanding job in our first varsity season at River Bluff. They were tremendous leaders in helping us defeat No. 2 North Augusta, tie for Region Runner-Ups, make the playoffs and defeat No. 1 Goose Creek,” said RBHS Athletic Director and Head Football Coach David Bennett. Participating coaches and players are selected through a rating system created by the All-American Bowl Classic founder, Max Emfinger. Now in its 11th year, the bowl game provides high school athletes with national exposure to enhance the recruiting process.
