Harrell Undecided about Political Future

(WOLO) CHARLESTON, S.C., — Former House Speaker Bobby Harrell says he hasn’t decided if he’s done with politics for good. Harrell told the Post and Courier of Charleston for a story Sunday that he feels he still has a good reputation in the Charleston area. Harrell was sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to six counts of misusing his campaign account for personal benefit. As part of his plea agreement, he resigned from his House seat and is prohibited from seeking public office for three years. Harrell told the paper he still feels his case wasn’t handled properly and that his actions weren’t serious enough to warrant a criminal prosecution. (Source: Associated Press )
