Climbing the Ranks

(WOLO) RICHLAND COUNTY,S.C., — The top cop for Richland County Sheriff’s Department was celebrated with an honor and new title Saturday morning. Sheriff Leon Lott has now been promoted to Brigadier General. ABC Columbia News attended the ceremony at the Olympia Armory as he was named the new deputy commander for special operations. Lott had this to say following his ceremony : ” I joined the State Guard many, many years ago just to serve. but to be recognized and to be promoted through the ranks, it really means a lot.”
