USGS reports a 1.8 magnitude earthquake near Cayce this morning

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – United States Geological Survey officials say an earthquake appeared near Cayce this morning.

The report says it was a 1.8 magnitude earthquake near the Congaree River at 12:03 a.m.

Officials say the depth of the earthquake reached 3.3 kilometers.

No injuries have been reported.
