USC hosts event on water law, the environment and economy

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Members of the South Carolina Law Review are hosting a symposium on water law, the environment and economic development.
The event begins Thursday at 6 p.m. at the University of South Carolina School of Law auditorium in Columbia.
The keynote address is being delivered by Stanford University Professor Buzz Thompson, a specialist on environmental and natural resources law.
Additional panel discussions are taking place on Friday. Topics include water allocation in South Carolina and conflicts about its distribution.
