City of Columbia holding fresh start financial workshop

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The City of Columbia is trying to help some of its residents get back on their feet financially.

The city is holding a financial education workshop on Saturday at the Richland County Library downtown.

Organizers say the session is intended to help people learn the importance of banking, budgeting, saving and building up one’s credit.

Another workshop is planned for March 21 at 1225 Lady St.
