4-year-old girl injured in Columbia drive-by shooting
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 4-year-old girl has been injured in a drive-by shooting in Columbia.
Richland County deputies tell local media outlets that the girl was sitting in a car in the driveway of a southeast Columbia home when she was hit.
Sgt. Kevin Lawrence says the girl was shot in the upper body, and her injuries were not life-threatening. The girl’s parents took her to a hospital to be treated.
Deputies say that witnesses reported hearing multiple shots coming from a blue SUV and a gold sedan. No arrests have been made, and authorities are still investigating.
