Dylann Roof stages hunger strike claiming abuse, harassment

(AP) – White supremacist and convicted church church shooter Dylann Roof staged a hunger strike on federal death death row.

In letters to the Associated Press, Roof writes he staged the strike because he has been verbally harassed and abused without cause.

Roof killed nine people inside Emanuel AME Church in Charleston in 2015 in an attempt to start a race war.
