Man dies in Lexington County fire

PELION, S.C. (AP) — A man burning trash at his home in Lexington County has died in a brush fire.

The sheriff’s department told local media outlets that the 80-year-old man died in the fire Thursday near Pelion. His name has not been released.

Maj. John Allard said how the man died is still under investigation.
