Bill Removing SC State Trustees Heads to Governor

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– State lawmakers unanimously approved a measure today removing the board of trustees from South Carolina State University. Both the house and senate approved the measure today which removes the remaining members of the current board. Wednesday, a six-member committee made up of members of the house and senate reached a compromise on the measure which creates a selection committee to name the new board. The new board of trustees must be in place by next week.
