Berkeley County Deputy Shot

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO/WCIV) — Investigators are looking into the shooting of a Berkeley County Deputy. They say it went down last night at an Exxon Gas Station while the deputy was speaking with a customer. A masked suspect came out from behind the building. Investigators say he shot the deputy multiple time. That deputy is at the hospital this morning with what are considered serious injuries. About 30 minutes after the shooting was reported, investigators say they found the suspect’s vehicle abandoned at a boat landing. They are still looking for the gunman at this hour.
