SCHP reports deadly hit-and-run in Lexington County

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking into a deadly hit-and-run out of Lexington County. On its web site, state troopers say it happened around 5:30 Wednesday morning at the intersection of Barr Road and West Main Street. Officials say it involved a motorcycle and possibly an SUV. According SCHP officials, the motorcyclist lost their life. Initial investigations lead the SCHP to believe the suspect vehicle is a burgundy SUV. It was last seen leaving the scene from Barr Road, heading towards Gilbert. They ask if you see a burgundy SUV with damage to the front-end to call SCHP at *47.
