CFD determines cause of warehouse fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Columbia Fire Department has determined the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a warehouse in the downtown area. A spokesperson says it was a combination of poor electrical wiring and over us of extension cords. Damage is coming in around 200 thousand dollars. Crews responded to “Secrets of the Islands” on Huger Street Wednesday morning. It’s a distributor for bath and body products and some material inside reportedly caught fire.
