Police search for burglary suspect

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for your help. He is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for burglary. Sheriff Leon Lott says a suspect forced his way into a home on the 400 block of Deerwood Street in Columbia on Sunday. The suspect ransacked the home and stole money before fleeing the scene, according to police. He then returned to the home on Wednesday and tried to gain access to the home again. He was unsuccessful. The suspect was captured on video surveillance equipment outside the home. If you have any information on the burglary, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
