Officials respond to report of suspicious package

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Federal officials are currently responding to reports of a suspicious package at the US Bankruptcy Court in Downtown Columbia. The Columbia Fire Department confirms its crews and HAZMAT team were called to assist Wednesday afternoon, but officials say it’s part of a normal procedure. There’s no word of whether a package was found or what could be inside it. We have learned the Columbia Fire Department has since left the scene. ABC Columbia has a crew there and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
