Crownover Signs Contract with Nationals

Columbia, S.C. — Former Clemson Pitcher Matthew Crownover signed his contract with the Washington Nationals Monday. The deal is reportedly worth $160,000. Reports surfaced Sunday that he signed his contract, though he officially put the pen to paper Monday. Crownover went 10-3 in 2015 with a 1.82 ERA. He earned first-team All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball. The former Tiger also ranks in the top 10 all-time at Clemson in ERA and his 25 wins are tied for seventh-most in school history.
