USC Golfer NeSmith Ready for U.S. Open

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA — On Thursday, rising senior Gamecock Matt NeSmith will tee off at the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay. NeSmith practiced Wednesday with Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose. NeSmith will tee off Thursday at 9:01 a.m. He’s paired with Brandon Hagy and Sebastien Cappelen. NeSmith won the 2015 SEC Championship, and finished the season with a stroke average of 70.51 for the Gamecocks, which ranks second in program history for a single season.
