Four-year-old found dead in car at Columbia apartment complex

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies say they’re investigating the death of a child at Richland Terrace Apartments in Columbia, after the child was found inside a car on the property. Sargent Kevin Lawrence tells ABC Columbia that the child was discovered by authorities around 5 p.m. Sunday evening. He says concerned residents called 911. Emergency personnel responded and administered CPR, but the child was pronounced dead at the scene. Richland County says the child was a resident at the apartment complex at 1212 Metze Rd. The investigation is ongoing.
