Army band to perform free, patriotic concerts
AIKEN, S.C. (WOLO) – You have a chance to hear some patriotic tunes. The South Carolina Army National Guard’s 246th Army Band is going around the state, performing free… public concerts. Monday night from seven to nine, members will be in Aiken at Hopelands Gardens. The concerts will continue for about two weeks. Here’s a list of other performances: June 27 – Finlay Park in Columbia, South Carolina from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Brass Band June 29- Hopelands Gardens in Aiken from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Concert Band June 30- Newberry Opera House in Newberry 8 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Concert Band July 2 – City of Clinton “Tour of Rhythms” 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Concert Band & Brass Quintet July 3 – NE Columbia, Village of Sandhill 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Concert Band & Pop Band The 2-week tour will end with a final performance on Independence Day, July 4 in Greenville for the “Red White and Blue” celebration, performing at the CPI Security Stage (Peace Center Amphitheatre) from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
