COLUMBIA, S.C. — Friday began year one of the Charlie Richards era at Keenan High School, after former coach Quinn McCollum left the coaching position earlier this year. The Raiders began their preseason workouts at Keenan, after reaching the state title game in the 2014 season. “Just hoping we’re competitive every football game,” Richards said Friday. “Hopefully, we can finish in the top tier of our region at least one, two or three.” Richards was not shy about Keenan’s strength of schedule that includes dates with Newberry and Fairfield Central. “It’s like the SEC West, if you ask me,” Richards said Friday. The Raiders open the season with Eau Claire on August 21. RICHARDS EXPECTING MUCH OF THE SAME FOR HIS RAIDERS THIS SEASON.
