Officials investigate apartment fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Volunteers with the Red Cross say they are assisting residents, after an apartment fire off Crofton Way. The Columbia Fire Department responded to the Chimneys Apartments late Monday night. Officials say the fire damaged six units of that apartment complex. They say the damage ranges from minor damage, to a total loss. An investigation is now underway to determine what caused that fire.
