One dead following motorcycle accident

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Columbia police officials say a person is dead following a crash involving a motorcycle and a car at the corner of South Kilbourne Road and Rosewood Drive Tuesday night. According to officials the wreck happened around 6:30 pm. Two people on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital, one was pronounced dead. A portion of the roadway was closed for a period of time while emergency crews cleared the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released by the Richland County Coroner. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the wreck.
