Columbia man killed in moped crash

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A 58-year-old man died in a moped accident early Sunday morning on Lower Richland Boulevard in Columbia. The Richland County Coroner says Charles Hughes, of North Main Street in Columbia, died when his moped ran off the road sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. Officials say Hughes was not wearing a helmet.
