Clemson men, women to host simultaneous golf tournament

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — The Clemson men’s and women’s golf teams will be co-hosting a golf tournament next spring.

The Clemson Invitational will take place from March 31 through April 3. The Tiger men will host a group of schools including Boston College, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Michigan State at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls.

Clemson’s women will compete against Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt among others at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.

Men’s golf coach Larry Penley said the school had been seeking to put on such an event for a while and waited to find the right fit before doing it.
