Freeze warning across most of SC except coast
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The growing season is ending across almost all of South Carolina.
The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for early Saturday morning for most of the state south and east of the Upstate, which has already seen freezing temperatures. The immediate coast is under just a frost advisory.
Forecasters expect temperatures to drop to 32 degrees or below for several hours. The freeze is happening around the time of the average freeze in much of the state.
It will be just a short blast of cold air. Forecasters say lows across the state will be back in the 40s by Sunday morning.
