DHEC board meets to discuss coronavirus response, search for new director

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control’s board met this morning to discuss the fight against COVID-19 in the state as well as distribution plans for a vaccine when one becomes available.

Board members also discussed the ongoing search for a new agency director. Former Director Rick Toomey stepped down in May, citing health concerns and wanting to spend more time with family.
