Georgetown store collapses, sink hole suspected
GEORGETOWN, S.C. (AP) — A store has collapsed along U.S. 17 in Georgetown and officials think it was caused by a sinkhole.
Traffic is being rerouted along the main north-south route along the South Carolina coast.
Authorities say the store collapsed about 11 p.m. Thursday.
Fire officials say the cause of the collapse is still being investigated but that there was a sinkhole at the site early last week.
