LCSD investigating deadly shooting early Sunday morning
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a man for a deadly shooting early Sunday morning at a business in the 3900 block of Platt Springs Road.
Authorities say Regin Oakman, 26, is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
According to the Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, Michael Lewis Keaton, 39, died from the shooting.
Officials say after speaking with witnesses, the shooting stemmed from an argument between Keaton and another man who he worked with at the business on Saturday.
Deputies say the two men were arguing throughout the day and started to fight after midnight on Sunday, when Oakman fired a shot that killed Keaton.
Oakman was taken to the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
