RCSD: Woman charged with murder following investigation of suspicious fire

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says they arrested a woman on Monday, and charged her with murder in connection with a January house fire. On January 22, deputies say they were called to the 100 block of American Avenue for a suspicious house fire in which a man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

Following an investigation, deputies arrested Jamira Davis, 20, and charged her with the murder of 42-year-old Brandon Burden.

Authorities say Davis was taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center for booking.
