Tameika Isaac Devine to run for mayor

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– City of Columbia Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine is holding a press conference Friday afternoon where she is expected to announce her run for Mayor of Columbia.
This comes after Mayor Steve Benjamin announced Thursday he would not be seeking re-election.
Devine is the first African-American female to serve on city council and the first African- American to be elected at-large in 2002.
