Black Friday robbery probed on Hilton Head Island

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say two Black Friday shoppers were robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Hilton Head Island shopping center.

The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports that a man and woman were walking back to their car from Walmart at around 1:30 a.m. Friday when two men approached them with a gun.

Beaufort County Sheriff’s Lt. Matthew Averill says the men made off with about $1,000 in cash and personal items worth $310.

No arrests have been made, and authorities are still investigating.
