COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested a man accused of several burglaries and vehicle break-ins within the county. Deputies say they arrested 37-year-old Kevin Capell Wednesday morning, in a reportedly stolen vehicle in Lexington County.
Officials say the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department also assisted with the arrest.
According to deputies, Capell entered two vehicles on February 25 and took a power drill valued at $250 from one vehicle and about $50 from the other. On the same day, authorities say he entered a shed on Tantay Trail without permission three separate times, taking a shotgun, a machete and various tools during two of the entrances.
According to deputies, Capell faces three charges of burglary, first degree and two charges of breaking into a motor vehicle.
Authorities say Capell was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, where his bond was denied.
