New forecast projects 185 million Americans will be vaccinated by September

CNN– A new forecast model predicts 185 million Americans will be vaccinated against COVID-19 by September. That’s according to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington. The model indicates more than 70% of Americans will have at least one shot by the end of May, and 65% will be fully vaccinated by mid-June.

The institute says daily deaths will decline, but vaccine hesitancy could lead to a winter surge.
