WalletHub study ranks SC as the ninth worst state to be a police officer
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– They say crime doesn’t pay, but according to a new study, neither does being a law enforcement officer in South Carolina. According to wallethub.com, South Carolina is the ninth worst state in the nation for police and worst in the country for the median income for law enforcement officers, with income adjusted for the cost of living. The study ranked California as the best state to be a police officer in.
Other factors included in the study are the violent crime rate and police deaths per officers.
