Spartanburg ceremony remembers crime victims
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Authorities in Spartanburg County are hosting a ceremony to serve as a remembrance of the area’s crime victims.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office of Victim Assistance is holding the 21st Annual Candlelight Service of Remembrance and Hope on Thursday at Morningside Baptist Church.
Organizers say the ceremony allows friends and family to remember their loved ones. There is a tree of remembrance that is decorated by families with photos of their loved ones.
The ceremony is open to the public.
