Kentucky State president speaks to SC State grads

ORANEGBURG, S.C. (AP) — The president of Kentucky State University is scheduled to address the fall commencement ceremonies at South Carolina State University.

Just over 300 graduates are expected to receive their degrees at Saturday’s ceremonies at S.C. State’s Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

They will hear remarks from Mary Evans Sias, the 13th president of Kentucky State.

Before coming to Kentucky State in 2004, Sias served for a decade in senior administrative positions at the University of Texas at Dallas.
