Gamecock Nation Gets Ready For Omaha
With the Gamecocks headed back to Omaha, the owners of Eat More Tees, were hard at work on Monday, designing shirts to send the fans to the games, in style. Last year, they had the second best selling championship shirt. “We basically saw about a month and a half worth of work in 3 days, ” says Russell Koss, Co-Owner of Eat More Tees. Ross says they are expecting the same number of sales this year. Travel agents like Rocky Douglas of Forest Lake Travel, are also busy. “it’s unreal, quite a few calls all morning long,” Douglas said Monday morning. Douglas says this is a trip that could have fans spending up to $11,000. Yet for some, it’s worth it. “It’s that typical Gamecock frenzy, you know if you’re a Gamecock fan and a baseball fan, you’re going to go. Because someone told me last year, when everything was all said and done, it was a once in a lifetime experience. And hopefully this year they’ll get to experience it again,” says Douglas. If you are interested in going to Omaha for the College World Series, there are two ways to purchase tickets. Gamecock Club members can request tickets at www.gamecocksonline.com/tickets.
