Highway Patrol investigating collision that left one dead Sunday
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a collision in Orangeburg that left a driver dead Sunday. This happened on Lauderdale Road near SC Highway 6 after 8:30 a.m.
According to Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2017 Hyundai sedan ran off the road and hit a tree. Authorities say the driver was wearing a seat belt but died after the collision.
The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office is working to identify the victim.
