CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Freshman Ashton Moore scored a career-high 30 points as The Citadel defeated Virginia Wise 91-74 on Monday night, snapping an eight-game losing streak. The Bulldogs (3-10) had not won a game since defeating Florida Christian College 97-44 on Nov. 21.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Al’Lonzo Coleman scored 18 points and Presbyterian defeated Liberty 63-56 on Monday night. Coleman, the Big South Co-Player of the Week, averaged 19.5 points in the Blue Hose’s previous four games. Presbyterian won three straight before falling to Virginia Military Institute 78-70 on Saturday.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Connor Shaw threw two touchdown passes and No. 11 South Carolina had six sacks as the Gamecocks shut out the Nebraska in the final three quarters of 30-13 win in the Capital One Bowl on Monday. The victory gave South Carolina 11 wins for the first time in school history and snapped a string of three straight bowl losses.

CLEVELAND, Miss. (AP) — Delta State has hired Jamey Chadwell as its next football coach. The 35-year-old Chadwell comes to the Statesmen after three seasons at North Greenville (S.C.) University. Chadwell led North Greenville’s transition to NCAA Division II three years ago, and this season finished with an 11-3 record after losing in the NCAA quarterfinals to Delta State.
