Husband, wife killed walking on York County road
CLOVER, S.C. (AP) — A husband and wife have been killed after they were struck by a car while walking down a York County highway.
Authorities said 35-year-old Marsha Rose and her husband, 36-year-old Jerry Rose, were hit as they walked on U.S. 321 south of Clover around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say Marsha Rose died at the scene, while her husband died about six hours later at a Charlotte, N.C., hospital.
Authorities say the 27-year-old driver of the vehicle that struck the couple was not injured.
Troopers say the incident is still under investigation.
