COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Riders of Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority, CMRTA, will have a chance to respond to a reduction in services that could come as early as next month. If you use public transportation, there’s an upcoming meeting you might want to know about. CMRTA officials say your input may change the face of bus service in the Midlands. Coming up Saturday, January 7, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at CMRTA Headquarters on Lucius Road, officials will host a public forum. They plan to announce substantial cuts in hours of service, effective mid-February. They say if you show up, you can expect answers on how the reduction in service will impact you. Elected officials are expected to be present so you can appeal to them directly, as they are the ones who create and modify public policy. The information is as follows: CMRTA Public Forum Saturday, January 7 11:00am 3613 Lucius Rd., North Columbia
