COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Columbia Police issued 3 search warrants in the case of missing 18 month old, Amir Jennings. Those include his Mother’s car and his Grandmother’s home. “We’ve been really going back to family members,” says Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott. That includes the family home on Lady Street. Thursday, ABC Columbia News learned police had executed search warrants on the inside and outside of the home along with Zinah Jenning’s car. Police will not say what prompted the warrants, what they are looking for or if they turned up anything. Meanwhile, they continue to question Zinah, who remains behind bars charged with unlawful conduct toward a child after police say she repeatedly lied about Amir’s whereabouts. “It is the facts that she is telling us, are inconsistent and incorrect,” say Chief Scott. So far, her stories have led police to North Carolina and Georgia. Columbia police say within the past 24 hours, they’ve received more tips from the Greater Atlanta area. We tried several times to reach family members at the home on Lady Street in downtown Columbia Thursday. But, no one answered the door. We spoke with neighbors who say they remember seeing Amir with his Grandmother, months before. Yet, since the Thanksgiving holiday, police say no one has seen Amir and Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott says they will continue to search for him. “The key to this puzzle is going to be if someone has seen Amir and Zinah together, regardless of this they think it’s important, we need to know about it,” says Chief Scott. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Amir Jennings, you are asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888- CRIME SC.
