Construction crews to shift I-385 lanes again
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Crews expanding Interstate 385 south of Greenville say they have reached a new stage in construction and will have to shift traffic again.
Officials say traffic will be shifted on to new concrete lanes Saturday night. The shift will also affect three exits which have combined on to one ramp as the project continues.
Construction crews say the concrete lanes will be smoothed before they become part of the final project.
The project to expand seven miles of I-385 to six lanes south of Interstate 85 started in December 2010 and is expected to be finished in November 2012.
