Easley school bus wreck injures several students

EASLEY, S.C. (AP) — Several students have been taken to two hospitals after a wreck involving a school bus in Easley.

Pickens County School District officials said it did not appear that any of the children hurt in the wreck around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday were critically injured. Officials were trying to figure out how many students were taken to hospitals in Greenville and Easley.

Authorities say the bus and a van were involved in the wreck near downtown Easley. They have not released additional details on the crash.

District officials say the bus was carrying students from an elementary, middle and high school in the area.
