York County investigates dead animals in ravine

YORK, S.C. (AP) — York County Animal Control officers are looking into the discovery of several dead animals found in a highway ravine.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/AuYjQ1 ) that sheriff’s deputies discovered the carcasses dumped off a road near state Highway 324 in York.

Public Works employees collected the bodies of two dogs and a pig, which were sent to the York County Animal Control office for an investigation.

The sheriff’s office said there were no suspects at this time.
