Bandit holds up SC church choir during practice

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (AP) — Police in Goose Creek are looking for an armed man who robbed nine members of a Goose Creek church choir during their practice.

The man had either a rifle or a shotgun and made off with purses, wallets and cell phones from the choir of the St. James United Methodist Church on Wednesday evening.

Police said the bandit told people to get on the floor. After the robbery he then told choir members to stay on the floor and he escaped on foot.

No one was hurt.
