Scalia, Breyer making appearance at SC Bar meeting
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Two of the country’s top jurists are scheduled to address a South Carolina Bar meeting.
U.S. Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Stephen Breyer are slated to give a presentation on constitutional interpretation at the state bar convention meeting Sunday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is introducing Scalia and Breyer’s presentation.
The state bar’s convention runs Thursday through Sunday. There are seminars on topics including consumer law, tax law and using technology in law offices.
The South Carolina Bar says its membership includes more than 14,000 lawyers.
